Applicability

This Policy is applicable to any individual who opts-in to receiving SMS communications through this Service related to one’s Court proceedings with the Tribal Court.

Opt-In Consent

When you opt into this Service, you consent to receiving SMS communications from the Tribal Court for updates related to Court proceedings. Your phone number will be used only for the purpose of delivering messages, and it will not be shared or utilized for any other use.

Opt-Out

At any time, you can opt-out of receiving SMS communications. To stop receiving these communications from the Tribal Court, you can send “STOP” in response to any communication by this Service.

No Sharing of Information

The Tribal Court will never share any personal information, including your telephone number, with any third party. Your information will only be used to provide this Service in relation to any Court proceedings you have with the Tribal Court.

No Information or Communication Storage

The content of any communications sent or received in relation to this Service are not stored. Communications are for the sole purpose of providing you any updates with respect to your Court proceedings.

Not All Court Proceedings are Applicable for This Service

Depending on whether the Court proceeding is open record or closed under seal, an individual may not be automatically opted into this Service. If you do not receive communications and wish to get them, please contact the Tribal Court to inquire as to whether your Court proceeding permits usage of this Service.

Compliance

This Policy complies with all applicable privacy laws and guidelines. This Service is used exclusively for court-related communications.

No Waiver of Sovereign Immunity

This Policy in no way waives the Sovereign Immunity of the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and its Tribal agencies and entities both within and without the Kalispel Reservation.

Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be updated as needed. If changed, the new policy will be posted on the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Tribal Court’s website.
